Anghel Ashmeade of Columbia, MD, said on a GoFundMe page that she's fundraising in memory of her 37-year-old daughter, Cassandra Ashmeade.

Cassandra was killed after being ejected from a pickup truck in a Feb. 1 crash along I-295 in West Deptford, New Jersey State Police said. The crash remains under investigation, Trooper Troy McNair said on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

"My daughter Cassandra was a bright beautiful, ambitious and fun-loving young mother," Anghel wrote. "Her 4-year-old son Kleon was her whole world."

"We welcome any and all donations to assist with laying her to rest with dignity and toward an education fund for little Kleon," his grandmother wrote.

"Our family especially little Kleon is devastated by this tragedy. It has been financially difficult to make her final arrangements possible," she said.
